The Ski Flying World Championships didn’t had the best start, today competition had to be cancelled due to the strong wind which would have made it impossile to continue with a fair race. the decision to call off the race has been taken this evening after many posticipations of the competition. I t would have been too risky for the jumpers to carry on, in such unfourtunate conditions. Rune Velta of Norway managed to jumps 234 m mean while Russia Dennis Kornilov set a new national record with 232 m but those results means nothing now. Defending Ski Flying World champion Simon Ammann along with Gregor Schlierenzauer and Kamil Stoch, because of the wind they didn’t managed to compete at their usual level. Tomorrow a new start at 3:00 pm.
