Yesterday it wasn’t just an interesting ski jumping weekend in the World Cup, but also in the men’s COC in Brotterode (GER) and also in the ladies WC in Hinzenbach (AUT).
Let’s start with the men first and not for some sexist reasons but because of the stunning results achieved by the Norwegian team.
The victory went to austrian Michael Hayboeck but from the 2nd to 7th position it was all about Norway.Hayboeck has left behind him Anders Fennemel for only 0.6 points, at the third place Vegard Swensen at only 3.4 points behind Hayboeck.
As for the ladies Daniela Iraschko won both the races in the weeknd.
If Kamil Stoch hadn’t won the race in Predazzo yesterday there would have been three austrians winner in three different competitons.
This year more than in the past seasons the level in the continental cup has grown up. As for the ladies at their first year of competitions in both WC and COC, FIS must be very pleased to see how much the girls are followed by the fans who love this sport so much. Another step forward to Sochi2014 where they will finally have the chance to compete at the Olympics
