Anders Bardal celebrate his victory at Bad Mitterndorf Photo by Berkutschi.com It was an incredible weekend in ski jumping this one who had just gone.Since the start of it weather had is last word so much both competitions had to be taken today. While in one the jumps were still good enough to be enjoyable the second competition didn’t offer such a great show, even if always weird and creepy is always around.Let’s start with this morning competition, it was a single round competition and when is about ski flying not many are good flyers enough to show it…yes the weather, one only round, a bit of all but Robert Kranjec today shown why he is so much estimated as flyer on big hills. (Flying hills) He left behind some people in a very good shape.

First podium of the day Photo by Berkutschi.com R.Kranjec T.Morgenstern A.Bardal (man of the day) that’s the names who made the top three podium on the first competition of the day in Bad Mitterndorf. Sometimes it works, sometimes no….Zip problem today for Gregor Schlierenzauer. This year 4HT winner couldn’t be more disappointed about today race after he see himself been disqualified due to a problem with his suit (broken zip). Gregor was about to jump his last jump today, when he –with the help of workers at the hill- had to fix his suit right before the take off, trying to “fix” it in some ways, knowing he would have probably been disqualified he jumped anyway. As for Gregor been upset about today events someone else like Anders Bardal was for sure most happier. The second competition of the day took place normally with two jumps session…but still the weather conditions weren’t so great (awful to be honest) as people expects when they going to watch a ski flying event. With two good jumps in such poor conditions Anders Bardal won his second WC race of the season. He is without doubt the leading man in the Norwegian team, and as Bardal’s having the best season of his career so far, someone else from Norwegian team had to go back home trying to his shape in time for the Wolrd Championships, Bjorn Einar Romoren in the specific, is the one who had to flew back home. Speaking of good results, Japan seems to have choose the right path lately, Daiki Ito finished today at second place making the podium just like his team mate Takeuchi did during the 4HT. Third place for Kamil Stoch who even against the wind made the podium for Poland. As for Austria, 4th place for Thomas Morgenstern, who for someone who is not in his ideal shape keeps gaining points.
