Gorm Johansson: The New-Year competition in Garmisch is history

The New-Year competition in Garmisch is history. Garmisch-Partenkirchen showed itself from a perfect side this time. There were of course some changes in the wind conditions, but this time I don't think it was bad at all. The best ones are still on top of the list. So I think the fight for the overall victory will be between the top 3 of the seccond competition. Of course some surprises could happen as well. We could see a very strong Amman. So bad that he had the fall in Oberstdorf. The fact that he could not make a second jump there will be something that have to be some meetings about later. But the biggest and strongest this time was for sure Anders Jacobsen. He was on a high level in all jumps and it will be very exciting to see him when they move to Austria. Many will say this is a big surprise. for me it is not. I know his top level is like this. I have seen it in him lately. so for me it was expected. Also the two Austrian guys plus Schlieri are on a high level. So this tournament is still quite open. It will be exciting when they move to Austrian homeland. Of course the grand old man Kasai is still just amazing to follow. He is on a high level again and can be fighting for podiums in the future. See you after Innsbruck.
